Gianfranco Zola has been sacked by Cagliari after just 10 games. Is this the first time a manager has had two 'done one' threads?
He also had an "about to do one" when he announced mid-season that he would be leaving Leeds at season's end. Not sure if that counts.
Lee Clark might have two anarl. He could be the first to have 3 of them when Blackpool inevitably go down.
Pearce did have two, one for the U21's and one for Forest. I can only see one for Di Canio when he left Sunderland. Lee Clark only seems to have one, but I suspect there was another, just without 'done one' in it's title.
Great statement from the club: “The decision was made reluctantly against a great man who wrote unforgettable pages in the history of Cagliari, giving lustre and international prestige to the land of Sardinia. He and his staff go with the thanks for the work done in recent months with dedication, professionalism and passion, and the heartfelt good luck for the rest of his career.” I don't recall similar sentiments or gratitude when Dr Allam sacked Dr Barmby.
Zola a great player with excellent dribbling skills. Shame it hasn't worked out for him as a manager, but I bet his glinting smile is still intact.
Why would you? Can't believe you're comparing Barmby to Zola either. Zola was simply awesome. Good luck to him.
Who was the youngish manager that was at West Brom then Portsmouth and I think Blackburn in a short period of time?
You're thinking of Michael Appleton. He left clubs 3 times between November 2012 and March 2013 - Portsmouth (left for BPool), Blackpool (resigned) and Blackburn (sacked).
