According to BBC gossip page on teletext Aston Vanilla have joined the race to sign Charlie N'Zogbia. That makes it a 4 way choice for him with 'pool, Villa, Us and them on the outskirts of Sunderland. Mind, it comes originally from the Daily Mirror so it's probably a pile of horse newcastle!
Dunno bout the rest of you, but i for one will be very happy when Nzog's future has been decided and announced to the world. Even if it's not with us, least then the constant debate of "will he, won't he, who with?" will stop and we can focus on other things. I would love for him to join us, but if he doesn't, then so be it. We move onwards and upwards.
TBH i would loves us to sign N`Zog but not bothered if we dont it has dragged on for far to long now. We could get Kranjcar & Hutton for less money
I cant see the reason why he would choose Villa over either us, the mags or Liverpool. As a club they could implode at any second and a less than impressive start to the season and all hell could break loose there? What player would make that choice? Liverpool are linked with Lennona nd DOwning and I reckon they are first choices. N'Zogbia wont make Liverpool a top 4 club, he isnt that good but he is good enough to make either us or the deluded ones up at NE1 a far better outfit. Its going to be a 2 horse race and I reckon and I still believe, that in Bruce we have the ace in the pack if it comes down to both clubs offering identical deals. i may be proved wrong but he was the edge in the Larsson deal when Villa and the craas were sniffing about at the last minute. We shall see. As with Larsson, it was his association with SB that won the day. I think N'Zog will be a Sunderland player come the end of July.
The N'zog saga continues. If he truly wanted to be a Sunderland player next season I'm sure he would have put pen to paper by now. My view is that he will join the club that offers him the most money (he's no different from any other player in that respect), I don't think that club will be Sunderland. Time to start looking elsewhere imo.
N'Zogbore...? Can't knock him for looking for the best deal for himself, but agree that this is getting tedious.
18 months is a long time. You'd think they could have talked during that time - we must have played them at least 3 times! x
Clock is tickin for DW too. He knows, surely, that the boy will be away this window. Better for him and his manager if he gets the money in quick to re-spend. x
