Breaking news on SSN, They're saying he's interested in a move to us, but only if Louis Van Gaal leaves at the end of the season, On a free transfer, its a no-brainer as far as i'm concerned.

I agree, even at his age he can still cut it and also help the younger players with selecting quality hair products

So he's trying to call the managerial shots then? Interesting.

You would have to take him if he was willing to come - but is he 'big enough' for the board the sack LvG in order to sign him, I don't know. I would imagine that Woodward will be looking at the merchandising figures rather then the impact to the team, but he would be a fantastic signing for a couple of seasons and I also believe he would become another talisman in the same mould as King Eric - very important for our younger players.

Tbf if you have no brain then everything is a no-brainer :bandit:

Personally I think bringing in Ibrah would be a mistake. It's just lazy tbh. What do we care if he's a free transfer or not. I'd rather we bought a proven CF who will be with us for the long term.

Quite funny that there's this clamour to bring in a 34 year currently taking it easy in a one team league as if he's somehow the answer to our problems and right above it there's another thread in which most suggest we should get rid of a 30 year old proven winner who is allegedly finished.

    Weird.

The difference is that Zlatan is banging them in for fun - Rooney just looks after the kids, smoking a few fags thinking the team revolves around him.

Yeah, banging them in in a piss poor league.
I suspect he won't find the premier league quite so straightforward.

Bottom line is we need a proven striker who lies somewhere between the ages of Rooney and Martial.

    Zlatan isn't that.

he's scoring well in the CL .......................... and I'm not saying for one minute he would be our only striker. I agree that we need another proven scorer - the fact that Zlatan can complement our strikers and at the same time provide our youngsters with his knowledge and experience is what makes him so attractive.

Our wage bill will drop once we offload Fellani and Schweinsteiger so we can afford his wages on a free

Bringing in a big ego who plays when he feels like it would be a mistake imo.

It's a shame that Schweinsteiger has landed on LVG. Such a football legend, rotting in front of our eyes.

I'm with Chief on this one. He's not the answer - nowhere near tbh. You might get one good season out of him.

You need someone who's in it for the long term. Like Luv says he's got to the point where he's such an ego that there are far too many things that could go wrong.

I think the reality is if you don't get CL he won't want to go anyway!

Agree with Chief and the scousers here, Ibrahimovich would be a bad signing. People may not think he's past it, but he's playing in the French league Ffs, and PSG aside the quality isn't any higher than the Championship. He will flop massively in the PL at the age of 34 of that I've no doubt of.

Just another big ego coming for mega wages, who won't deliver the goods. We need young hungry players, not these over the hill mega stars.
