Zenit fans wanting club not to sign Black & Gay People

    Zenit fans have punished a manifesto stating that they do not want the club to sign Black or Gay players. The signings of Hulk and Witsel has seemed unpopular with fans. I think this is disgraceful but it looks like Zenit aren't going to listen to the fans which is good. I hope you share my opinion.

    If you read the whole thing, they actually say they want the squad to be made up of only Russians, Slavs, Scandinavians and Western Europeans. It reads: "as the most northern club among the big European cities, we have never been mentally connected with Africa as well as South America, Australia and Oceania."

    It's not like they're singling out just black people, but it's still ridiculous. And they do also have their "there's no black in the colours of Zenit" motto.

    They reserve a particular hatred for Muscovites too. Zenit/Spartak games make the old firm look like a love-in.

    Ironic that St Petersburg came about due to Peter the Greats's attempt to rescue his country from ignorance and superstition, and build a modern, progressive city looking out at the world with confidence.

    If this is true it would be a disaster for the modern game. Why is colour causing everyone some much hassle of late?
    Gee Wiz what is the world coming to. Is there no End to all this nonesense..........(I know bring on tomorrow).....<laugh>

    Absolute disgrace but we know the Russians are backward concerning this, if its a cultural stance then it can be argued if its racist it should be smashed.

    That should read its in some Russians nature to be racist, you would not say all Jamaicans are homophobic would you?

    All they are doing is damaging their own club in the long run. Maybe we could send them the fools that keep booing Guly to swell their ranks.....................good riddance too.

    Culturally it would be wrong for them but also hard for us to argue against, after all when have we ever questioned the Japenese seriously on their immigration of foreigners or Saudi either?
    People need to question all wrongs and not just the ones that are easy and convenient.
