Fulhams Zamora's high wage demands are the main stumbling block in QPR completing their signing. Some sources are reporting that the player is demanding £90,000 a week; this would be the highest wages on QPR's books. However Despite QPR manager Mark Hughes being given a suspected £30million to spend this transfer window QPR are ensuring that they donât waste money and will only do 'sensible' deals. Zamora has been talking with QPR for over two hours now, more as it comes.
Good, pay him what hes getting at Fulham and not a penny more, its ridiculous to expect us to double a 31 year olds wages. If he doesnt agree to that, let him rot at Fulham who have signed 1 or 2 forwards.
The BBC reported that hes doing his medical now but terms still not agreed. Looks to me like hes only come for one last pay day.
it's not his twitter. he's changed his name today from Zobby Bamora to Bobby Zamora. Ignore that twitter.
If im honest, I dont think thats his twitter. Would he really be tweeting pictures of the outside of the stadium? and only have 202 followers?
Im certainly warming to the idea that he could be good for us. Hughes knows him so that is good enough for me. But for 90k a week? No thanks. Pretty sure that is made up though.
yeh i think it a bit strange having looked at it you could be right mate-could be snide but all the other evidence points to it being a dead cert deal Rodney Marsh posted an amusing tweet 'has anyone ever seen bobby zamora and jay bothroyd in the same room'
BBC reporting that Zamora deal not yet done, but Fulham have signed their Russian striker which paves the way for Zamora to move
I agree that I'm not too bothered about Zamora. But, he is a much better version of Bothroyd imo and hopefully MH can get the best out of him. Let's face it........Zamora's best is much, much better than Betty's!!
Not sure he is worth £90 /wk. A bit concerned that Fulham had replacement lined up immediately. Is that because they knew he was coming to us or because they wanted to let him go because he is not good enough for them?
Looks like its going down to some brinkmanship as to who will give in on the wage demands. Either that or he failed the medical. I think we are sitting pretty, we dont need him while he has gone further down the pecking order at Fulham.
I think we 'need' him in the sense that he will improve overall quality and options. I suspect just negotiation - he will sign
