The former Fulham and Spurs striker fired the R’s back into the Premier League in May but his current Loftus Road contract expired last month

We told you yesterday that Zamora held further talks at Rangers’ Harlington training base in an attempt to try and thrash out his future.

Those discussions were positive and the 33-year-old is expected to put pen to paper later this week.

Millwall had been hoping to take Zamora to the Den but Ian Holloway has admitted defeat in his attempts to sign the forward.

I think this a good thing, if we can get another two strikers in. Also, our numbers are pretty low at the moment!!!

    I agree
I still think OBZ can do a job in the last 20 minutes of a match we need a goal in.

    combination of Austin/Remy/NewHH to start
Bobby Z to come on to shake it up if necessary for 15-20 minutes

Zamora is lucky because none of the other premiership clubs would sign him and waste money

A good one year option to have in our striker stable to bring on in the latter stages of matches to change things up.

I really do think that surgery helped him a lot. I think we'll see better from him than we've seen over the last couple of seasons.

Good news because on his game he can hold that ball up
Great to also see our fans get onside with him ... Great player who I still believe can do it for us
