Sky Sports understands that Millwall have held talks with Bobby Zamora over a possible move. The striker is out of contract and yet to agree a new deal at Queens Park Rangers.

Millwall would be a fair move for him

It looks like he has only been offered a year but is after more. Fair enough from us I think. At least we've been seen to do the right thing.

I'm hearing it was more to the fact he was offered a vastly reduced wage per week.

Pleased the owners have learned some lessons from last time.

Nohhh more Bobby Zamora, Nohhh more Bobby Zamora.

I feel slightly torn on this. The sensible head on me tells me that he is not fit enough to survive a season in the Premier League and he is therefore taking up a space in the squad that could be better used. The other part is telling me that he has his full fitness back and will be a useful player for us. However if we are to learn from our past mistakes at all, we should be letting him go.

This is a heart vs head matter for the majority of us I feel

He'll always have a special place in our memories as OBZ but with his wages set to 50k a week, it doesn't justify another year where he'd most likely play the last 15 minutes at a higher level.

I hope we'd part on amicable terms, but if he accepts another year with us then he'd be more than welcome (on the reduced wage)

OBZ will always be a special part of our history just for that one moment at Wembley.......but I think it is wise of the club to only offer him 1 year on reduced salary because there is no way £50k a week can be justified for 20 minutes cameo role each week....

Cheers OBZ for that glorious moment and I wish you well if you decide to move on....

Can't see Millwall paying more than us - even if he does reduce his salary.

Can see him getting a lot more game time.

If true the best news of the summer if true wasn't true.Another year for OBZ could be the best business we do this summer.A 3rd or 4th striker that can come on and give us a goal if he's fit could keep us up.

They may offer 2 years instead of 1.

Yes, of course. That would take him to 35½ and retirement.

A 4th choice striker for the final 20mins is the best business we'd do this summer? I really hope not!

If palace, Leicester, villa, west brom; or other teams in our ilk bought Zamora for a year- we'd think it were an astoundingly poor move.

*plus, wouldn't it be better for our future to risk the likes of petrasso during the final 20mins of games?

Not to keep banging the same drum, but isn't Wembley the perfect scenario for Zamora to bow out of his QPR career? We can all sing "ohh bobby Zamora" unironically forever.
If he continues to hang around, he'll have a stinker of a season, probably get injured- and end up taking the shine off "OBZ". Lets all move on!
