Bobby Zamora: I'm fit and ready to fire QPR to promotion please log in to view this image Bobby Zamora: Scored five goals in 24 appearances for QPR last season Bobby Zamora says he is fit and ready to score the goals that secure QPR's promotion back to the Premier League this season. The 32-year-old former Fulham forward missed much of last season because of a hip injury as Rangers were relegated from the top-flight. However, after some much needed recovery time this summer, he is hoping for an injury-free and productive campaign in the Championship. "It was a good summer," said Zamora. "I got to rest the body after a long season last year and feel good now. "It was nice to get away from it all. It was a disappointing season for us and it was nice to switch off and get away from football, ready to come back focused for this season. "I feel really good, so much better than last season. The rest and work I did over the summer seem to have worked so far. "I've got a programme and some bits and pieces that I'm doing to keep on top of things. I'll continue with those and hopefully I'll have an injury-free season." http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11711/8816211/
Col, he has looked extremely fit in the videos and pictures I have seen from pre season training. In fact he looks like a different player. Fingers crossed he doesn't break down though.
I thought he needed another operation....Then again that was according to Harry who does tend to exagerate how bad things are to take any blame for himself. If him and AJ can stay fit we will be in a strong position....It's a big fat IF though...
He was supposed to need an operation that it would take him 8 months to recuperate from. Another impressive breakthrough for medical science perhaps?
I think he'll be OK in the championship, his used to the physical side of the game and will get stuck in. Just keeping him fit seems to be the problem.
