http://www.london24.com/sport/champ...icises_brighton_and_southampton_duo_1_1691267 I'd say it's fair enough for Guly to say that. He certainly contributed more than Zaha in our games against each other. DTLW
That article went down really well on Guly's new Facebook fan page. No one seemed to remember that Guly was man of the match though.
I've got no problem with Zaha saying this, and I'm not going to take Guly's side just because he plays for Saints. Unfortunately he does come across as a bit of a cock. Zaha possibly would do better to be less outspoken, but I don't think anything he's said is wrong.
You have to wonder what Zaha said to make Guly come out with that...he wouldn't just say it in a vacuum. Something happened, but as we don't know it's water under the bridge. I'm beginning to think that Zaha is a bit full of himself.
I've always thought that Zaha is an immature little ****. He does not deserve to be anywhere near the England side.
When called up you should be grateful and have a touch of humility or expect the older lads to knock it out of you. He has also said that he hasn't made his mind up which country he wants to play for..that automatically disqualifies him from England as far as I'm concerned.
What a nothing story that is ! Many of these young footballers seem to be so full of themselves. Or maybe he asked Guly for a lift home after the game not knowing that he was banned and Guly thought that he was taking the mickey !
Depends how Guly said it, if Zaha was winding him up, diving and whinging then yeah good on Guly. Really in any other situation it's hard to stick up for Guly though
Born in the Ivory Coast. Drogba has been making noises about him too. Seems he may have been picked to get the nationality issue sorted out.
Good point, I suppose it's better he gets on the pitch tomorrow to ensure his future is with England.
What so someone gains "respect" by how well they move a leather/plastic ball around with their feet? I think a lot of people's idea of respect is more than that. I'd say Guly is DISrepectful in saying "Respect me". He probably got outplayed by Zaha and felt aggrieved by this, and so wanted to reclaim some lost pride, thinking he could do this by belittling Zaha. That and drink-driving don't bode well for someone who is meant to be a role model in Southampton.
Not really, as friendlies do not count., Zaha could still play for Ivory Coast even after making his debut for England tomorrow.
Next time I see Guly buying some cigs i'll ask him what he thinks about Zaha. He'll probs make out he can't understand english like he did last time .
Yes and if you look back up the thread you'll see that I edited my post before your's to amend that sentence with probably. Surprised you still love Laura Robson since she debuted on the ITF senior tour? Or just an old love?
Lambert was outstanding pretty much the whole of last season but he didn't get called. Why should Zaha, because he's young?
