What position does he play? I note the report says 3 goals from 11 games, not prolific at £3m if he's a striker...

He was billing as the new wonder kid a year or so ago and 9 in 23 is better than 1 in 3 which is decent...Would be a very good, positive signing.

his career total is 9 from 23 which is good @ 5ft 7ins quite a contrast to our 3 frontmen at the mo ... .... ....
what would we offer? he is young and fits the bill we would need to be looking to pay £5m? or £4m and spread £1m over 3 years wages £7k a week over top 6 players average.
We have to start looking at building a team for the Championship, and need to start paying championship wages to our top players ...

We won't be the only ones in so we will probably have to offer more...

I seem to remember hearing a rule of thumb somewhere that the value of the wages over the period was generally somewhere similar to the purchase price. In this case, that would equate to £20k a week...

EDIT:- Top championship wages are much more than £7k a week...!

Our wage bill was something like £6m last year if I remember right but of course, they were league one so £6-8k was probably right for our top performers, THEN...

so top performers currently on £8k plus so in this instance, CLOUGH, we should be talking the ability to get up to £12k ....
£25m set aside for wages! over next 3 seasons squad of 18 plus youngsters ... top valued players 10- 12k to lowest paid 5-6k plus youngsters?
clough cant be getting more than 8k at the mo?

ffs this Clugh kid is only 20! Bolton will be paying him what we currently pay our 20 year olds, the only difference is he is actually decent unlike our lot! I'd imagine he's on at a max 2k a week and he's also at a club where that 2k a week isn't guaranteed. Never heard of him before yesterday and neither have half of the championship (supporters) He still has a lot to prove and won't be in any position to demand high wages.

Agree with Shiny - don't think the wage demands will be that big - there again his Agent may have something else to say

Only prob he is holding out for what he wants and City isn't on his radar!
expect him and Bradshaw to be at new clubs in the next 7 days Afobe will start the ball rolling.
Bolton will not want a deferred payment, they will want cash on the nail, they need to sell at least 4 players to survive, that will seriously weaken them and get relegated so may GIL and finish up in div 1 anyway with a WSC ...
Their chairman it seems is willing to write off £180m ? ... id be 2000 years old before I could earn that!
