Was in at Spurs at the time of BMJ. Saw this article on Soccernet. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/columns/story/_/id/939416/more-to-come-from-lee-young-pyo?cc=3436 I thought he was good without being great- a real team player. Thoughts?
I remember Yippie Lee. I used to have a lot of time for him. As you say, a good player just not great (or as good as BAE )
Agree Solid - however according to the article a bit of a footballing god in South Korea. To his credit he does say that BMJ was a very good manager.
So it seems we have a very good, but not great player, talking about a very good, but not great manager.
Remember him tearing Braga's left hand side to pieces in the UEFA Cup a few years ago. Nice to hear from some former players who drop off the radar, apart from the Hossam Ghalys of this world.
I liked him, but I didn't think that having two right-footed players down the left really worked that well, at times. Both Lee and Malbranque were good players, though. The latter's just left Sunderland to join St Etienne, if anyone missed it.
