As i couldnt get tickets for Bolton i managed to get along to Ideal for the youth team game. I only managed to get there for the second half. It was awful. Our GK never threw the ball out once to his full backs or CB's, a booming kick 60-70 yards down the field all the time. A couple of our lads should have been pulled up for their constant bitching to the ref. Obviously these lads are playing to the coaches orders, so how can a professional coach allow his team to continually boot it up field?? The only bright spot was Sutton,I think, came on and stuck a good goal away. Though how the ref played nearly 10 minutes of injury time is beyond me!! Then blew up as soon as we scored!! Our keeper looked decent and Sutton looked good too, the rest not so promising. Very disappointing, little skill on show. Unfortunately it looked like City had picked the biggest lads in the town to play for them.
It's an English football problem. We resort to hoofing far too often. When it's the last few minutes and you need a goal for some reasn everyone just becomes a route one team.
Was it the normal youth team though? They've got a big cup game tonight against Leicester, I wonder if they didn't risk key players like Clark? I'd check on team on our website, but it's so **** it hasn't even got the score up yet, never mind the team.
The lads that played were u16s and youth players who haven't played much(no Excuse). Lincoln are bottom of the league and there is the Leicester game coming up so things got changed around. I'm surprised the keeper was kicking up field ect.. The Club play through the 3rds from the keeper right up from u9s? The club don't pick players based on size I guarantee it.
