Good piece on Player about how the U21s and U18s are faring after three games (with interviews and goals). U18s have won all their games, though seem to be shipping goals as well, and top their group. The top three in each group go through to the elite league, so that's looking good. The U21s have one win and 2 draws..also seem to be letting goals in. They are fourth in their group but still only one point behind leaders Newcastle who they play on Friday. Apparently some U18s are playing in the U21s, meaning that our U18s also have young players as well. Also gave chance to look at Cody Cropper...bit early to say...he did some good stuff though tends to punch out too much for me. I'm a bit old-fashioned and like keepers to catch the ball. be interesting to keep an eye on him.
Saw this on YouTube last night ... very good watch and I hope it continues I find it interesting watching/hearing about the youth team
The youth squads are very important to us if Cortese's plans are to come to fruition. I am very proud of our academy.
