Playing at Ebbsfleet on Friday. Having knocked out Forest and Southampton away, our Under-18's have been deprived of the chance to strut their stuff at The Valley by the state of our pitch. Last year when we played Chelsea there were over 100 scouts to watch, with the resulth that we lost Kasey Palmer to Chelsea, but with our commitment to success through the Academy I'm hopeful that we can keep the likes of Gomez, Edwardes and Holmes-Dennis until they've made their mark on the first team. It must be worth the trip to watch this talented group of kids.

Just about to leave, love the prospect of seeing a Charlton team playing with skill and verve, able to compete with the best, great movement and a one for all, all for one attitude.

Listening to the game on Player. Very even and lots of attacking play. 0-0 after 30 mins.

Goldenballs lives on. Commentator "[Arsenal player] prepares to take the free-kick. He will either take it left-footed or right-footed."

Terrific game. Terrific display by our young team, several of whom were under 18. Arsenal's goalie name Josh Vickers, made several superb saves to keep us out, and Arsenal's second came in stoppage time when we had thrown everyone upfield. I felt really proud of them tonight, they played with pride and passion, and several of them were inconsolable afterwards. Well played lads.

Another defeat. Another failure. I am sick of cardigan-wearing, Bovril drinkers like FHB making excuses. Sack Hart, sack Avory, sack everybody in sight. The rot started when we joined the EU. Ban Kosovans from selling the Big Issue near the ground. Get Di Canio in now. Introduce the goose-step into training and weaklings to the wall.

A couple of truth-nuggets in there, eddie. The rest is daft.

Not necessarily. I didn't know there were other cardigan-wearing bovril drinkers like me.
