New Season is near and we are all looking forward to it. Which team do you think have surprises in the youth squads that can/will break through this season and stamp their mark on the PL? We have quite a few at OT that i am looking forward to seeing more of.
Arsenal have a couple and i know City have some waiting in the wings (all depends on their start i would imagine). Can't think of too many that have kids in waiting so to speak.
Thats the thing though. Unless you support the club and follow the youth sides, it's difficult to know.
As you might expect, we have a few ... Callum Wright (centre mid), Sammy Braybrooke (centre back) and 2 young keepers, Iversen and Stolarczyk (sp) are all banging on Brenda's door ... I expect to see Harvey Barnes, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Luke Thomas all push on too...
Harvey Barns and Dewsbury hall are already established. I have heard of a couple of the others, got anyone you think will make it?
Iversen is already Kaspar Schmeichel's understudy for Denmark ... but the other lad has looked more impressive in pre-season ... Callum Wright was out on loan at Cheltenham last season and looks a bit like a home grown Maddison ... we have an even younger kid called Alves who is a real baller and came on for the first team last season (cup game I recall) ... sources inside the club suggest they think he is the dog's danglies
Charlie Patino, who broke into the first team last season And Marcelo Flores, who looks like a really exciting creative prospect at ACM/left wing
Elliot Anderson for us. Spent half a season out on loan last year but seems to be playing in the pre-season friendlies. Goalscoring local midfielder so good to see him get game time this year. Munse raving about him on our forum so he will probably be an abject failure.
