ZX79? I thought you were a youngster. My first computer was one they were chucking out where me ma worked, no idea what it was but I couldn't get it to do anything and I had no floppies to run on it so it went to the dump. The next one was an Amiga.
Mine was also a Commodore 64. Remember the old tape deck you had to use to load games? If I remember correctly, most games took about 10 mins to load. please log in to view this image My first game:

Having wasted many hours in attempting to 'save' the princess ( eventually succeeding after a whole day at it ), I vowed never to waste any more time on a computor ! .............and then came the internet !
please log in to view this image I inherited it from my brother. The good thing about it was games would load instantly. No 5 minutes waiting on a tape recorded making funny noises for me. The down side was the games were really expensive.
So was mine and I still have it, including the 5 1/2inch disc drive, not sure if you can count a Philips G7000 games console as a computer although you could get a hexadecimal programming cartridge for it.
