If HRMC insist on their pound of flesh and Pompey end up in here: please log in to view this image it would be too late to have a club in any league for the coming season, with 'AFC Pompey' starting some-where in the non-league pyramid for the 2013-14 season. For my part, I would 'support' Havant & Waterlooville for the interim period So, should the worst happen, who would you 'support' next season? Would you attend matches or would you [as with me for geographical reasons] simply throw your virtual hat in the ring and follow your chosen team's progress?
Chatham Town - or maybe Ebbsfleet....... possibly. However, we will continue (possibly falling down to league 2 at the worst) - we know this because Trevor Birch is aiming to bring the club out of administration and that the season ticket sales are well underway. Things are bleak - but we aint dead yet! PUP!
One of the Island non-league teams possibly, although the overall standard of football is pretty dire compared to the Football League. I suppose living so far away from Manchester, I could become a "fervent" Man. Utd. fan overnight, as I do reside south of Guildford
