Just reading another forums and a thread stuck in my mind. Things you got right and wrong about last season. This is quite embarassing as i got the majority of things wrongs. And getting a fat twat off all this humble pie.
Rights. Not to many so will have to spread them out. Defoe still is a top player and will get double figures easily. Wrongs. SAFC will get relegated. Happy to eat that pie. Jan Kirchoff is a useless sack off ****. ( aw come on, after his debut i cant be alone on this one)
Thought Leicester would get relegated. Agree that Kirchoff looked sack of **** after spurs game. Knew Sunderland stay up. It's just how we do it lol
I think I said Memphis would be player of the season I did also argue that top four is not out of reach for any club in the league.
Right. Coates is crap. We should never have bought him. Wrong (again) why are we ****ing about with this Kone fella. Its fell through. He's messing about. Move on. Wrong (maybe my biggest one) SA is a dithery old fool. He'll **** us up.
Wrong..all season I maintained we would finish 15th, even before Sam took over, wasn't far out with 17th but wrong all the same.
Wrong: I was pretty sure Leicester and Bournemouth would be relegated and signing Ranieri was a bad move. I also never thought Bentitez would go to Newcastle but he's obviously having a mental breakdown so I suppose I couldn't have predicted that. Right: I remember a thread on here about if we'd stay up, I think it was pre January window but if not it was definitely before we improved, and I was one of the few that said we'd stay up. I think I said that Defoe's goals and Sam's experience would keep us up, cheers Comm for giving me a chance to look clever for once.
Never once thought we would get relegated and thought from the first minute that Kirchoff was gonna be a superstar
I will give you your due. You were one of the more optimistic one's during the dark days. I had them written off.
Why not? Spurs and more importantly, Leicester broke the top 4 monopoly, there's no reason to say it won't be done again. My argument was that you could build a squad like Everton and Southampton and essentially you're only waiting for a top team to have a ****ter and you could sneak in, but I wasn't expecting an outsider to go and win the league, I must admit.
Wrong - on every relegation predictor I had us to go down and the Mags to stay up Right - thought it was utter madness to give Brown a one year contract
I thought they'd struggle without Cambiasso to be honest and I'd imagine a lot of Leicester fans were wondering how they'd do without him. I was certainly looking at teams like Southampton specifically when I said it's not out of reach. Never expected Leicester in my wildest imagination.
Right: Sunderland would stay up (however this also then becomes a wrong, to be revealed). Kirchoff was worth defending after the Spurs game, sent a tweet back to the Chronicle showing a screenshot of them writing him off as a flop after the Spurs game when he got his player of the month award. Louis Van Gaal is an arrogant **** and would ultimately fail at Manure Wrong: Chelsea would walk the league All 3 promoted teams would go down Sunderland would go down when Matic made it 2-1 last month
Steve McLaren was my preferred (realistic) choice of manager! I didnt think he'd be amazing but I felt he would stabilise the club.... .
Right. Defoe would do well. Byrne was completely inept. Khazri was a good addition. The bairns would improve. Wrong. We were for the drop (after DA walked) Kirchoff was ****e. Lens would do well. Mannone would be the keeper to go.
