Our local media has just announced that Coach Preki the coach for the local USL team the Sacramento Republic has just resigned and is flying to the UK where he will be announced as your new head coach. The Sacramento Republic has confirmed that he was allowed to resign in order to immediately take over an English Club.
It's all over the local news websites, the local news won't come on for a few hours, I'll watch and let you know what they say.
News should be back on in an hour. No one here has mentioned anything about Sheffield Wednesday. The best local news thing involving you all was a few years ago when one of the local reporters asked Jordan Stewart who had just signed for the local MLS club SJ if he was going to be able to handle the MLS. Jordan responded "I have played for Leicester City in the Champions League." The reporter had clearly never heard of Leicester City and probably not even the Champions League from watching his reaction to that answer. He then asked Jordan again, "so, you think you are up for it them?" Jordan didn't even respond and just gave him a dirty look. Classic. Jordan still plays here and he is still rock solid in the back 4. He elbowed the **** out of this guy's face last week and got away with it, my type of player.
He is a liar then if that is true - we have never played in the Champions League, only the UEFA Cup and he never played in any of those games. Can believe him elbowing someone in the face though.
Well I got the quote wrong then, t's been a few years. I posted about it when he said it and I am pretty sure AKCJ said he remembered him and posted a video of him scoring a goal as a teenager in what I thought was a European competition. From reading his wiki page he probably posted the video of him scoring the first ever goal in your Walkers Stadium it was against Athletic Bibao, which was probably why I remembered it as a European game, it was a friendly. He isn't a dirty player just a real serious type. So far channel 13 hasn't even talked about coach Preki leaving. Their top story was a cat attacking its owner and the dude calling the police on it. It didn't even make the local sports section of the TV show. I'll try channel 40 next.
Fox 40 said the only thing they could confirm was that he was going to the UK as Preki told them that. They said the rumor coming out of Sacramento FC is you all. They interviewed him and he said wanted to manage "in the highest level I can". That is a lot different than the previous quote which was "in the highest level of the sport". Take that for what it's worth but "in the highest level I can" probably means Sheffield Wednesday where the quote "highest level of the sport" implies you all, so I would guess unless he further confuses things that it's either Sheffield Wednesday or an assistant manger job with you all but I didn't get the impression from him that he is going to be your manager. If you all have any questions about him or anything you want me to pay attention to I can but my impression is he won't be your manager. Edit: The 6 o'clock news show also said he is going to be your new manager. They didn't give a source.
I assumed this story was complete nonsense, but I see Bob Bradley's odds have just been slashed to 7/2, so I suppose there's a chance he's coming as a No.2. Still seems unlikely though.
The bookies now have the pair of them at 1 and 2 in the odds... http://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/leicester/next-permanent-manager
Ah, so today's favourite is Bob Bradley... Do you not think that the bookies are having people on? Some random guy managing in the third-division in America says he is moving to a coaching role in England... By making Preki the new favourite for the job, people will automatically make the assumption and think they are being clever by lumping on Preki to be the next Leicester manager... They must be making a mint!
