...What was yours?

Mine goes back to when i was a lad, Liverpool had a league game early season against Spurs.. We totally destroyed them 7-0, but what's always stuck in my mind is the last goal scored by Terry McDermott..Ray Clemance had the ball at the Kop End..rolled it out to Phil Neale, who played inside to Phil Thompson..Thommo played the ball into midfield where Kenny had come deep to get it, The King turned out and hit a 30-40 yard pass into the feet of David Johnson on the right hand side near the half way line, Johnson almost without thinking hit a diagonal ball to the left wing to the on rushing Stevie Highway, who without breaking stride, delivered a pinpoint cross to the far post, where Terry McDermott who'd run 70 yards, meet it without again breaking stride to head it into the Spurs goal...Brilliant goal, and the best bit was Stevie Highway walking calm as you like back to the half way line.

That was mine, but what was yours?

No vid so you'll have to take my word for it. A Wedneday night FA Cup replay against Spurs. Attacking the Anny Road Cally goes down the wing and slings in a cross. Hunt is the only forward in the box. The ball goes over the Centre half's head and Hunt shapes to head it. But he sees from the angle and speed of the ball that he isn't goinf to get a head on it. He plants his left foot and swings his right. I swear that when he made contact his right foot was next to his ear. Sweet as a nut the ball flies into the top left corner.

Gerrard v Milan in the CL Final to get us going.
or
Torres v Blackburn, think it was the anniversary of Hilsborough. Something like a half volley, made it look so easy.
or
Luis Garcia v Juventus
or
due to sheer amusement of it potentially not crossing the line and the controversy it caused...
Luis Garcia v Chelsea

First derby game at goodison and was in gladys street with big brother.
Kenny scored a cracker after twenty seconds. Not his best ever but it has always stuck with me. I also Remember gettin the pink echo once we got home and keeping the front page for years.

Is it still the fastest derby goal?

phone. Nicely put together.

perhaps we are just a bit sensitive after all the manc rubbish.

My reply - you got me there! Watched the match live on tv in Tobago with a local friend who supports Chelsea. All I could say at the end of the match was "What the bloody hell happened there!" I was so annoyed that we whent to the bar and I made him pay for the beer all night.

Its funny how the context of games makes so much difference, we have all scored crackers down the park on sunday mornings but will they ever be talked about as great goals.

Haha yeah - I'm sure none of us could do anything like that under that pressure. So immense. I literally destroyed the house in happiness.
