They couldn't afford the electric bill!

That is 3 out of 4 blank Saturdays in Feb. By the time we get playing again we will be mid table.

    ****'s sake.

How come the money in football forces all sorts of bizarre changes and breaks from tradition, but they can't make top-level clubs install undersoil heating.

all championship and pl sides should be forced to have undersoil heating to avoid fixture congestion and travel problems.

I have just been informed by a Scottish colleague that it is a requirement for SPL sides. As usual the FA proved lacking yet again <doh>

We should be awarded the 3 points for them not being able to provide an adequate pitch.

It's generally colder up here than it is in England so there'd be regular call offs if they didn't have it. Before today when was the last time Pompey had a home game called off due to a frozen pitch?

2009 and it got them a warning from the Premier League, along with Fulham, who at the time were the only two Premier League teams without undersoil heating.
