When can you start to remember things as a child?. Some people believe as soon as five years old, other say up to seven years old. My first memory was about seven years old: this boy always come to our place when there was no adult at home to talk to my cousin who was about sixteen then. That time it was abomination to have a boy or girlfriend not to talk about having sex. My parent always instruct my cousin not to let me play outside. Whenever this boy comes, the boy would give me and my other cousin around the same age money to buy sweet or a drink common then called "Corolla" and the two of us always jump at the opportunity. Whenever my mum comes back, the first thing she asked was whether I have been inside all the time. My reply was always "yes" because my cousin asked me to say so. The boy visiting my cousin was a clerk at the Local Government Council. It was when I was older that I discovered that we were tricked.
My first memory is when I was three, I was carrying my potty down the plane walkway as I refused to use their toilets
This ^ I remember being fed tomato soup whilst being sat in my high-chair and throwing it up (when we lived in Hunts Cross)
So dribs you don't remember your mates from your first day at school. You must be very interesting to talk to at reunions.
First day at school you are wiser. I started school when I was 8 years old. Still in contact with those I started school with.
I remember being told off at primary school for copying someone else's work when I hadn't done my own. Was probably 5 or 6 at the time.
My first memory is of when I was born asking the doctor and my mother to leave the room then giving the midwife a good rogering.
My first memory is my brother telling me that to get his end away with the girl round the corner he had to pay off her annoying younger brother and cousin to get them out of the house. He's the local mayor now which is impressive as he started out as a humble clerk at the Local Government Council.
My time we don't start school early because schools are usually far away from your location. They want to make sure that you can go and come home on your own. Unlike Britain where schools are close to your home. School age usually 8 years. No Kindergarten you start from Primary one.
My first memory is of it being very dark, then suddenly very bright lights and some woman smacking me on my arse. I was so annoyed I refused to speak to anyone for about 2 yrs.
Mine was when I was three, and for some reason, is is about absolutely nothing, unless I am suppressing a trauma. Just me standing on the doorstep of our old house in Piggy Muck Square. The square is empty, the weather is nice, it is during the school day, so both my sisters are at school, my dad is at work, my mum is in the house doing something or another, and I am just hanging around in the doorway. Probably speaks volumes about me, that my first memory is about doing **** all ;-)
