I guess we would all vote for the dulcet tones of us Gasheads belting out the song at every game. But this Leadbelly song has been recorded loads of times by some of the greatest artists around, and following Pirate49's thread, which do you think is the best recorded version? I've omitted Maximum Overdrive's enthusiastic version, which was bound to put in a strong showing!

Trouble is, you're only allowed 15 selections per poll. I think we could have a few polls with different versions, then one Grand Final with the most popular ones from all the polls. We'll let this one run for a week or so, then I'll run number 2. There are so many versions that I'm sure we could get another two or three polls.

I would knock out Raffi straight away, by the way. It's a bit like a young Jimmy Osmond!

<laugh> sorry p49, i thought your thread was just for adding versions and using it as like a jukebox for us to listen to while posting on threads <ok>

can always merge the threads if you want? as its your thing and gastros thing, why dont you work together on it. be nice for me to have a break. nice to see others take up projects :)
