Probably done before, but I've not seen it since I've been on not 606. Pick your best ever 11 Here's mine: Shilton Golac Wright (M) Lundekvam Bale Williams Ball Armstrong Le Tissier Keegan Shearer We wouldn't defend, we'd just go for it.
This is my favourite XI (not necessarily the best XI) of those I've seen play. Goalkeeper: Dave Beasant Defence: Ivan Golac, Chris Nicholl, Michael Svensson, Mark Dennis Midfield: Matt Le Tissier, Steve Williams, Jimmy Case, Adam Lallana Strikers: Mike Channon, Steve Moran
I forgot about Steve Moran. quality. I also had Mark Dennis to start, but then flipped him for Bale. Loved Mark Dennis.
GK Niemi RB Dodd LB Bridge CB Monkou CB Svensson M RM Ekelund CM Svensson A AMC Letissier LM Lallana CF Pahars CF Shearer
GK - Flowers RB - Golac CB - Mark Wright CB - Claus LB - Mark Dennis RM - Ronnie Ekelund CM - Steve Williams CM - Jimmy Case LM - Chris Marsden F - Matty S - Shearer
Only been going since 2006 so I'll do mine from that Davis Baird Lundekvam Fonte Bale Chamberlain Surman Schneiderlin Lallana Lambert Rasiak
how about: Ron Davies Micky Channon Bale Ball Le Tissier Paine Bridge Svennson Lundkevam Dodd Shilton
Been following Saints since 2003, so I'll go on that... Niemi Dodd Lundekvam Svennson Bridge Fernandes Schneiderlin Lallana Surman Pahars Saganowski* *I know on the whole he was poor, but on form he was immense....
My favourite season watching the Saints was 1989/90, that team was... ............Flowers.................. Dodd, Osman, Moore, Adams .......Case, Cockerill............ LeTissier.......... R.Wallace ..... Shearer, Rideout.......... Some of the football played that season was superb and refreshingly attacking, home and away. With Case and Cockerill pulling the strings in midfield it gave the front 4, (yes 4!!) licence to run riot on occasions....I'll never forget the Scouse press mocking Chris Nicholl for saying he had a plan to beat Liverpool, calling him "Baldrick, with his cunning plan". We ended up smashing them 4-1 and ripping them apart!
You are so right Conman. On another thread I said that although I think we may concede a few this season, I don't think we will have trouble scoring. We have Rickie, Connolly, Guly, De Ridder, Lallana, Barney and AOC who are more than capable.
