Sacking himself has to be up there for me. Also that chip against port vale from the corner of the box.

Sorry, just a blatant excuse to watch this again.

Posted this on the tribute thread. Thought I'd drop it in here as well.

My Everton mate, who worked for many years for the local cable company (tv, internet) has a favorite. While on a job at a house not far from mine, he noticed all sorts of footy pictures on the wall. He asked the wife why, and she mentioned her husband was John Doyle, USA international player and San Jose Earthquakes player. They banter about and she begins to tell some stories from Doyle's Int'l play. Her favorite: A friendly against Ireland. Corner kick. Doyle is marking Quinn. Pushing and shoving. More pushing and shoving. Finally, Quinn smashes him in the face with an elbow, and Doyle responds "what the **** did you do that for?" To which Quinn replies, "and there's plenty more where that come from if you want it laddy!"

    Love the man.

There's so many but highlights for me are
The first game I saw him play for us away at QPR where he absolutely ran the show
    Playing in goal against Bradford
The goal he scored against Stockport where he lobbed the keeper and was celebrating before ball anywhere near the net
Just knowing he always has our clubs best interest at heart

By the way is it wrong for a grown woman to be bawling her eyes out because a man she's never met has left his job?

Playing goal at Bradford - yes I was there, what a night.
Paying for fans to get taxis back from an away match because they were stranded
Giving his testimonial money to charity.
    Big man indeed!

this, it was a magical moment, but he nearly undone it until sorrensen got him out of jail, also the lob against port vale, his disco pants, when he went in goal at bradford, his testimonial where he gave every penny raised to charity(including a childrens hospital wing where my daughter attended), his determination in his take over of the club, bringing roy keane to get us promoted, the taxi fair, introducing a billionaire to buy the club, his roadshow, being a big influence on bringing o'neill here, also the safc foundation which often goes unnoticed. The list is endless and could go on and on and on, what a man, a true legeng of the game and we should be very very proud of him. I wish him every success whatever he does, not that he'll need it. Thank you Niall, I will always worship the ground you walk on

Quinny takes some academy lads to a Durham pub to meet Norman Whiteside.
One of the lads asked Whiteside if he'd ever played.
Whiteside asked him if he knew who was the second youngest player ever to play in the world cup finals.
Shocked, the lad asked if it was him
Whiteside said "No that was some guy called Pele. I was the youngest".
