Weve had the liverpool player you hate thread. Here is the "your favourite liverpool player with a twist " thread. The twist is they cant have been first team regulars or at the club for more than 2 seasons. My favourite would be ... Titi Camara closely followed by Karlheinz Reidl.
Mine would be Harry Kewell. Legend of Liverpool. Now I know technically he was there (in mind if not in body) more than 2 seasons, but if we go by appearances that must equate to 2 seasons surely?
I liked what I saw of Aquilani and thought he should've had more games and chances than he did. His performances, when he played, were normally pretty good.
Titi Camara and Jari Litanen are two great shouts. I miss read the OP at first, thought it said not a first team regular OR less than two years at the club. Going by the latter part I was going to say Ãlvaro Arbeloa but realised it needed to be both conditions before posting.
Pheeeew what a question, favorite lump eh.... Hmmmm Iztvan kozma What a hat track eh? Morientes Craig Bellamy mark ii
Does Gary Mac count as first team regular. Always liked Gary Mac shame we only had him at the end of his career.
Fifty-five appearances in two years? Yeah, even though we played sixty-three games in one of those seasons, I'd say he was a first teamer
I would say someone like Arbeloa - criminally underrated but was one of our best right backs. To me, 'best' represents reliability, consistency. He would always give you a 7/10 performance which is what you need from a defender.
Post #5 I loved Arbeloa but I then, I love a consistent FB. I'd put AA third in the list for Liverpool RBs I've seen: 1) Rob Jones 2) Steve Finnan 3) Alvaro Arbeloa
Rob Jones and Finnan were before my time so I can't comment but a lot of people rave about Rob Jones and he could have been a legend if it weren;t for injuries?
Finnan was before your time? How old are you....? Fun fact, finnan autocorrects to fun nan on my phone
Finnan played for us between 2003 and 2008 so you'd have been between 15 and 20 but he was before your time #latebloomer
Rob Jones was superb and he could play either side. Gary Neville wouldn't have got as many England caps if it weren't for Rob's horrendous injury record that eventually forced him into early retirement.
That was before I appreciated the beauty of full backs and defensive midfielders. And I was blinded by the likes of Owen and Gerrard in their prime ...
