I often think we fans expect Too much when each weekend comes round, From those gallant fourteen elect Be it away, or on our home ground If football was that cut and dried And each and every game went to plan, No-one would bother going inside To watch, knowing the score beforehand The beauty and joy of this game Is the unpredictable way that things go, Even between two teams in the same League, the result, you just never know And yes, on paper, Saturday´s match Most would have thought would go our way, But then Spurs, on Stevenage´s patch Should too, have had a real field day And had we just picked up those points We were expected to this year, I´d say, We´d have been rubbing our aching joints Down there in the relegation fray So not all things do go as planned And I thank god for that each week, Otherwise, a drubbing´s on hand When United turn up with their clique And how many wouldn´t accept A shock on the cards once again, Quite gladly, if the points were kept At home, by our Canary men. Well said sir! No doubt if we pulled off a shock on Saturday, the same crowd that feel cheated by the loss to the Foxes, would be celebrating without giving a thought to our cup demise! I fancy a draw to be honest!
Hello dave, Yep, the general opinion seems to be, that surprises are fine, as long as they don´t happen to us
