If we want a new tier on the east stand and thirty something thousand I would take anyone willing to pay for a seat, yes.
This is a very big discussion area. We have lost the over 40s who long ago entered into a pact with egg chasing, the vermin and LFC. But we should be able (in theory) to develop a fan base double what we have now. It will take years but we have the foundations like never before:- 4 four promotions in 10 years, two (3?) trips to Wembley, and we've been opening game on MOTD two weeks running. The club has never had such a great chance to establish itself as the region's number one team. All reasons for not supporting City have been demolished in the last ten years- the new generations will not have the burdensome yoke that we toiled with in previous decades. The new support must not be bribed with large inflatable beach balls at half time on the pitch, they need to be made properly welcome at the club, not fobbed off with gimmicky superficial trash. They need to want to be associated with their local club through thick and thin, and be proud to be HCFC. All this stuff is medium and long term strategy- I fear the people currently running my club only care about some tycoon turd who may be gulled into spunking his wad for some vicarious glory. That's no strategy.
