Farewell to the famous old ground tonight...I've watched qpr there many times with mixed results...for me memorable ones were the opening day 3-0 win with Paul parker n dean Coney making debuts...a league cuo win in the late 70,s I think Dave Clement got the winner!
I was there in 1968 when we lost 4-3. I think one H Redknapp scored the winner that day. I also remember going there with some West Ham fans on the day Paul Goddard scored a hat-trick for them against us.
Two memories from me. 1) A Monday night in 1973 & we go to West Ham a couple weeks after we thrashed them in a 0-0 at the Bush (yes, we did thrash them & had three goals disallowed). Our first ever away win in the top division & I believe that Ron Abbot scored! They didn't like my celebrations at the final whistle. A tap on the shoulder & told I had one minute to leave the ground. I didn't need telling twice! 2) I was with my wife & had to go in the chicken run. Always expect Rangers to mess it up for you! We went 1-0 up & I was half way up in the air when I remembered where I was! The cheer turned into an "oh f***. Thankfully we resorted to type & lost 2-1.
Was there in 80's 1-1 and in 00's remember losing 2-1 with Harewood scoring. Good club Spam. I know many spam fans and they are all sound, proper fans unlike those scum muppets from down the road. As i said on another thread their fans never have a bad word to say about QPR. I was out with a couple the other night both top blokes.
YEAH I WAS ALSO THERE IN 68 I LOVED THAT BARRY BIIDGES GOAL FOR US AND YEAH THE PICK OF ALL THE GOALS WAS THE BOBBY MOORE THIRTY YARDER,WHAT A FABULOUS GAME THAT WAS
I remember that game well Terry, we absolutely slaughtered them. I've never since seen such a one sided 0-0

Older than the Queen of Britain, Uptown Park Bowling Ground opens up its bleachers one last time for the game against the Manchester Unity. After that, centuries of historic soccer history will be smashed up by a bunch of wrecking ball operators and the franchise will go some place new. But what will soccer fans of the West London based franchise remember about this place? I took a closer look. Pablo Di Canio’s real nice no-bouncer Way back in the 2000s, the referee hatin' Italian soccer player scored one of the awesomest goalshot in EPL League history, kicking in a soccer ball real nice against tennis-named franchise Wimbledon. please log in to view this image Pablo became a the Hammer’s MVP over the years before getting bored and going to the Charleston Atheltes when he was real old. Jonathan Spector Of all the guys that have laced up their cleats and done soccer at the Uptown Park Bowling Ground down the years, most Westside Hammers fans will agree that one guy was way better than the rest. please log in to view this image Making Pablo Di Canio and the rest of the guys look like a bunch of dumbass fat kids that can’t even make it through gym class without getting real sick, former USMNT star Spector was a hero of the guys down at the Tool Shack. The Chicken Shack The bleachers in the east side of the stadium were once known as the Chicken Shack, named after the humongous fried chicken restaurant that fans could go get some food from if they got the munchies during the game. please log in to view this image England Soccer Club won the World Cup Back in the summer of '69, a Three Lines side made entirely of Westside Hammers soccer players became World Cup world champions of the world, beating Doucheland 4-2 at the Uptown Park Bowling Ground. As a result, a statue of some of the guys that played soccer that day still stands outside the stadium. please log in to view this image Michael Jackson's statue Although the Prince of Pop was more bothered about climbing trees and stuff than he was about soccer, a statue of him once famously stood outside the Uptown Park Bowling Ground. please log in to view this image To be honest, nobody knows why. Maybe it had something to do with that song the Westside Hammers fans sing about MJ's pet monkey. please log in to view this image
its funny until about a year ago I wouldn't have known where the Boleyn ground was, it was always Upton park in my day - i saw Bradley Allen score there twice in 92, I remember nothing else though apart from don't get off the tube at west ham, it's miles away
I was only there once, late eighties cerca 1987. First game of the season. My cousin had a West Ham mate who got us all tickets in the main stand. At half time we were 3-0 up. Each time we scored myself and my cousin jumped up. After the Third goal we both jumped and up and when we looked behind us, there was a 25 stone hammer beating his fist into the palm of his hand. We gulped and sat down pretty quickly. It finished 3-0. Never got the chance to go back since.
