With all the new signings gossip I haven't heard much on the likes of whatmore, mavrais, ba etc. wouldn't mind seeing a bit more of them myself. Who do you reckon could step up next season?

This. He was training with the first team squad since he was on the bench at City.

Martin Smith has also been on the fringe of squads. Lynden Gooch is another name to look out for. American U20 captain.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the last I heard was that Whatmore had a stinker at Hibs, was unpopular with the fans according to a few forums that i read, and was dropped as the season progressed!! I know Hibs as a whole had a nightmare but that makes me not very optimistic if this was the case!

He was either injured or chasing fitness the whole time their. Before that Hibs were raving about him.

Fair enough! I wasnt exactly keeping a close eye on him! I maybe just popped my head in at the wrong time and made the wrong assumption! To be fair at the Carlisle game when he came on a sub he looked rather lively! He changed the hole mood of the crowd and did more in his little cameo than anybody else did in the whole game! I thought at the time that if we were relegated he could be a key player towards getting us back up! Cant see him getting many games next season! Further developement required probably, although if/when we need somebody who can run at defenders he could make a small contribution!

Think they may have got on his back as he was chasing fitness back end of the season, they didn't have much to shout about the Hibs fans, they were ****e.

He looked well lively against Carlisle. Not getting much game time on loan last season I can't see him breaking the first team this season either. Another loan beckons me thinks, hopefully injury free.
