    Good articles remote.

Perhaps we are now in a position to hang onto the next Aaron Ramseys.

That's the biggie Cling. Even if we can't make big signings (though there seems to be a bit of cash about) producing and hanging onto youngsters would be a big benefit. I know a few went for the wrong reasons but with Gunter, Matthews, Ledley, Jerome and Ramsey in the squad we'd be in a healthy position, not to mention some of those that left further back like Collins.

There does seem to be an air of confidence in the club with regard to the quality of youngsters coming through.

ur right there lads we lost an almost all welsh prem quality team being in the need for money instead for bills.

our youth set up is spot on and miles ahead of most teams in britain..........every top class yunker from the valleys is being snapped up and tested which can only be good for the chances of a few>>>>.one or two coming through will be good but you never know we could see an all welsh cardiff side marching out on the field one day.............that`ll be the best day of my life if it ever happens.

That may be a way off yet aber, but it's heading in the right direction. The youth set up was one of the few things Sam got right and over the last couple of seasons (last year setting up an U21s) that has been built on. We've got a category 2 accademy for the coming season and if the new training facilities come off so the 18s and 21s can train in the same environment as the 1st team it will help their development.

Was going to start a new thread but remembered this one.

Another example of the way the club is preparing the youngsters for the professional game. Being a profesional isn't just about being paid to play, it's about the behaviours and attitude and it's evident from the comments here that the staff aren't just looking at footballing ability, but also behaviour and attitude. looks like there is a lot going right with the club behind the scenes.

The fact there's an article on the U18s shows the credence placed on the accademy. Onwards and upwards.

Anthony Redwood is a good lad. I know his father, Derek, from a previous job of mine. Derek was a useful footballer in south Wales leagues (I think he was on both City's and Newport's books at some stage of his career) and is a regular at CCS.
