Only a few weeks ago I'd never seen nor heard of Ethan Ampadu. Then I saw him but couldn't remember his name and so called him Young Fuzzy. I remember him now. This kid is really, really special. In his first game( that I saw) he played in midfield, got knocked arse over head early on in a really strong tackle. He got up and played a great game with skill, vision and courage. Now he's had a run as CD and a start at CD and looks the dogs bollocks. His passing is brilliant, his positioning is damned near perfect, he makes strong tackles and he's pretty quick. Whoever found this kid, take a bow. At a smidge over 17 years he is bloody close to the best prospect I have seen in a Chelsea shirt. And he's getting game time from Conte, and doing a fabulous job. Hope Conte keeps up this strategy, there are many more kids on the rise. My son tells me Kyle Scott ?? is also exceptional. Time to look closer at the youngsters before reaching for the chequebook Roman. This 17 year old is building the foundations for his fellow youth players to be given a chance. Great job from Young Fuzzy.
I used to watch the youth team a lot when we had Baker, RLC, Ake, Boga etc but not so much now. That's probably the best youth side I've ever seen. I haven't seen anything of Kyle Scott but I saw Leicester linked with him for January. Of the current side I like Hudson Odoi a lot and one of the CB's from the U17's England side looked really good, either Panzo or Guehi. Viveash should be getting a managers job soon imo, worked wonders with our youth team.
Some good talent in there. My son watches most of the youth games and really rates Kyle Scott. What's your view on Ampadu? He's a talent, though not from our Academy.
