Fulham U13s were playing today in tournament in Holland; the DeCom Top D. Going pretty well so far in their Group of six: Game 1 v Glasgow Rangers 1-0 Game 2 v KAA Gent 0-3 Game 3 v Willem ll 2-2 Game 4 v IVO Velden 4-1 A win in their final game against NEC Nijmegen guarantees the youngsters a semi-final place.
In fact a point was all the youngsters needed and that's what they got, drawing 1-1 with NEC Nijmegen. Roll on the semis.
please log in to view this image In the semi the team played free scoring Sparta Rotterdam - they hit 20 goals in their 5 Group games. Not so in this game though, our youngsters not only pegged them back but they matched them and the result at full time was 1-1. Unfortunately Sparta nicked the tie on penalties. Great performance from the U13s throughout the tournament. The future continues to look bright. COYYoungWhites
