well, he's been signed on for 3 more years. Still stand by my view that he's not good enough and apart of a past United but, fair play to him. Always gave his all, just wasn't very good 90% of the time. We will probably sell him for half a million in a years time knowing us
Just dont rate him. Also think he embarrassed the club with his diving. Not the first or last to dive in a United shirt but most pack it in once plastered all over the press. Not Young though. He was rubbish at it too.
I'm not overly keen on him tbh. He's obviously very good and at the quoted price, comparably cheap. Just never been a fan. Though like all, I will support him as long as I can if he signs. Hopefully, unlike young, he won't enjoy being plastered on every front page as a cheat.
Evidently so. That's on Di Maria though. He had to live with that shame. And yes, Young is quite possibly the worst diver in the premier league. He has curbed it s little though. Part of him tiny improvement that's suddenly seen him become our best player of these past few years No.
If United wins every match that Young plays in but misses a few good chances, do some terrible crosses, shoots over the bar a few times. And United wins fewer matches when Young doesn't play. Would you play him in every match or not?
I would play Januzaj, Pierrera or depay ahead of him. All have far higher ceilings and athe former two, have higher potential. If depay brings even a 5th of his form from last season, he will be brilliant. I would sell young and not risk him going back to what he's been most of his United career. Our worst player.
I thought you might say that. That is the classical example of not seeing the wood for the trees. So even if United win every single match he plays (say 40+) you still wouldn't play him and sell him?
the day that happens we can talk about it. I suspect it will never happen. So as of now, it's pointless discussing. Would you rather a 30 year old who's been rubbish for the vast majority of the time, or bed in promising youngsters? It's pretty easy tbh.
My point is that Young like everyone else is part of a team. Now whether he is a good individually as another is secondary to whether the team is victorious when he plays. Lots of factors are at play. Team dynamics. Disrupting of the opposition defence etc. For me he has been instrumental in many of our wins and therefore deserves to stay. To take my point to its extreme, if Young himself does not play well but the team wins well every time he plays, I'll play him.
I suspect putting a better, more productive player in will improve performances and output. Of course there's no guarantees and we could end up signing another Di Maria but I suspect cowards like that are rare in the game. You're putting way to much emphasis on Young though. If we are successful this season, chances are, he will play a handful of games or make cameo appearances.
