I think we should be trying to sign some of the young English players not in the first team from sides.

-Ryan Bertrand - was brilliant at reading last year and would easily take over from Jose if he left.
-Henri Lansbury - like for like replacement for Barton if he left and another useful player.
    - Nathan Delfouneso - fast, skillful and a head for goal but doesn't get an oppurtunity at Villa - an improvement on ranger
    - Kyle Walker - better than Simmo(despite my love for this man)
    - Scott Sinclair - if Swansea get relegated, we should take a punt on this guy - he was impressive for Swansea last season and we can see if he is up to standard in the EPL.
-Tom Cleverley - in SAF's plans apparently but would be a useful addition
    - The Obvious Daniel Sturridge - yes please Pards. No questions asked about wanting him
-James Tomkins - good player and would be a good backup to Willo(as a backup to Tayls).
    - Marc Albrighton - on the right hand side, his crosses are magic and would be a decent replacement for Barton
    - Danny Rose - Not playing for Spurs regularly so we take a punt and sign him on loan or something like that.
-Jordan Spence - real good prospect and just got relegated for West Ham so he might want to sign for us.
    - Victor Moses - not the real thing yet but will be an amazing player.

So who would you take from these?

All good players, would have any of them in truth but Sturridge and/or Sinclair priority as we need strikers.

Walker, Cleverly and Albrighton for me. Can't see any of them leaving though, maybe Cleverly.

All these players would be around £5m-£12m. There's much better and similar talent on the contintent, which is exactly why we are scouting in western europe

    You wha?

Sturridge as well, I just forgot about him being a young English player as we talk about him allllll the time and we're only interested in Frenchies.

<laugh> Sorry. I replied to you saying Redknapp wont let Walker go then realised you'd already said that. I quickly edited whilst trying to find the delete comment button but gave up as I couldnt find it.

I'd take Sturridge, Cleverley and Moses. Has Moses not chose to play for Nigeria though?

I think so.. hopefully that'll knock a few million off his price tag then!

-Ryan Bertrand - don't know anything about him tbh
-Henri Lansbury - No, a poor mans Cleverley. He wasn't in the Norwich team at the end of last season
-Nathan Delfouneso - Don't think he'll ever be more than average
    -Kyle Walker - 100% yes
-Scott Sinclair - jury is out
-Tom Cleverley - Yes, impressed for a poor Wigan side last season
-Daniel Sturridge - Yes, but out of our price range. Loan may be the only slim possibility
-James Tomkins - Good squad player
-Marc Albrighton - Yes, but he'll be key at Villa this season
-Danny Rose - Not good enough
-Jordan Spence - Not good enough
-Victor Moses - Showed signs of improvement towards the end of last season, so yes.

He's only played one game for West Ham, so you don't know, but Id rather stick to Tav.

Don't know what fees these guys would command but I'd imagine they are beyond our means. All good players, would love Kyle Walker. I think we'd be looking more at the likes of Clyne who we were linked with as they are cheaper. Well all good bar James Tomkins. After his horror show at St James I wouldn't touch him with a bargepole. Never been impressed when I've seen him to be honest. Must be well thought of though as he seems to popular at West Ham and England 21s. For me though his positional sense is terrible. Of course he is young but he was one of the chief culprits when Best was filling his boots.

Don't like loans and the clubs won't let these players go, so no go for me.
