Tayo Edun came on as a 68th minute sub as England U18s lost 2-0 to South Korea in an international friendly at the Icheon Stadium earlier today. Really good for the young man given his injury hit season; only returning for our U18s a few weeks ago. The South Koreans came out on top again in the return match yesterday; winning 3-0 this time. Captain Seung Woo was on target once more when he broke the deadlock early on, and second-half goals from Lee Sang Min and substitute Cho Young Wook secured victory for the hosts at the Suwon World Cup Stadium. After Lucas Haraslin had given the Slovaks the lead, England – made up entirely on non-League players – stormed back to take control of the game through a Jack Holland strike and Louis John brace. But Slovakia provided a remarkable response, as efforts from Tomas Huk and Michal Fasko restored parity, before Fasko struck a dramatic 97th-minute winner to earn his side three International Challenge Trophy points.
