You were joking about Scholes but for Rio it is true.

    http://www.goal.com/en/news/9/engla...iteds-rio-ferdinand-i-was-a-fan-of-liverpools

Ferdinand told his club's official TV channel, MUTV: "As a kid, Liverpool were the team that were doing well, with the likes of John Barnes and John Aldridge, and United weren't really winning anything.

"On my estate [in Peckham, south London], all my mates were Liverpool fans."

However, Ferdinand clarified that he was not exactly a fan of the club itself, moreso of star players of the era.

He clarified: "But I was more a fan of players than clubs. Players like John Barnes, Paul Ince, Paul Gascoigne."

Shocking bit of scouse revisionism there. Tho' good to see your sarf Lahndan glory hunters were strong back in the day <ok>

When you say history, I assume you're referring to the part where he won five league titles and the Champions League?

    Thanks for reminding me <ok>

Imagine if Rio had signed for Liverpool.

He'd have as many league titles as Carragher (the Evertonian).

Paul Scholes idolized Charlie Adam and based his tackling technique on him. Obviously a time machine was involved.

Im sure Mandela would be ashamed to have his good name brought down to the gutter by being mentioned in the same article as a racist like Wio.

I suspect I would be drenched in spittle but that would be the case regardless of what I said to him as long as he replied.

Stevie likes the theatre, says Kim Cattrell. That's probably more embarrassing than Rio loving a bit of Scouse.
