I know itâs not what many people want to hear but I think we have a bad problem with NP keep falling out with players and it needs to be sorted! Did anyone else notice Woods actions on Thursday & Sunday he did not want to be there he looked totally pissed off and we all know the rumours of the bust up with NP just looking at his face during the matches and NP not even looking at him when subbed on each match. St Ledger, Waghorn, Wellens, Beckford, Danns have all had spats with NP over just one season.... I also wonder about Marshall the way his form took a nose dive? Can we afford to have a manager that keep doing thisâ¦
Pearson seems to have a problem with any players with a strong personality and is over 20 years of age..most senior players have their own opinions but this bloke won't tolerate it..
Square Head holds grudges and if you get the wrong side of him you are frozen out. Eventually you are relying on the same 17 or 18 squad members every game - till he signs someone else of course
I think the "Nigel Pearson has fallen out with him, thats why he's not playing well" excuse is a cop out.
I was in town on the Saturday after the league game against Watford - was in the 'Handmade Burger Co' when Chris Wood and his girlfriend came in (laden with designer clothes shopping) but could not get a table so they went directly opposite to The Real China. Now I don't know whether he is just always miserable - and it's well known that I've been critical of Pearson's man-management and motivational skills in the past - but CW's facial expressions were not a lot different on his day-off to during matches - part miserable / part gormless. So it might just be that he's generally like that LOL - certainly he did not crack one smile and he was stood in the doorway of the the burger restaurant in the queue for quite some time - I was just the other side of the glass. If there is a problem it will no doubt come out in the wash.
I think that burger could of made all the difference sunday... the lad was bloated and slow.. classic indigestion.. what chance did we really have ?
The only time he looked pissed off to me was when he was substituted yesterday. And so he should have been, any player with desire should want to score on that stage. St Ledger, Beckford and Danns weren't signed by Nigel and seemed to have a problem with the way he operates. Most sensible fans are not happy with the way THEY operate, considered the wages they're likely on. Wellens is past it. Sometimes that's hard to take. Howard seemed to have the same issue. Waggy, well that's a new one on me, tell me more. I'll also add that nearly all these so-called spats are rumours, probably made up by the anti-Pearson brigade.
Fair observation! I think it's his square chin, thin mouth and emotionless eyes that give that effect.
