Udinese beat Sampdoria 2-0 in Genoa on Monday and the picture below shows the attending away support to watch the win. please log in to view this image As if that wasn't bad enough, he was only in the area on business or he wouldn't have attended. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-20700529 Must've been pretty surreal for him.
Yes..,he was only in the area on business. I'm told his business meeting which had been scheduled to take place at the same time as the game was concelled. He couldn't get back home because they was a hour and a half delay on the trains and the bars were all closed and the local cinema was full.
its a 600 mile round trip to Sampdoria from Udinese....so i suppose normal folk can be excused for not following their millionaire heroes. he was given a signed shirt by Sampa and the home crown cheered him throughout the game.
what a legend. He should be personally invited by the chairman for the next game, and in a box with free food and booze at the very least.
Must feel quite weird celebrating by yourself when they scored! You'd be pretty screwed if the Sampdoria hooligan element were looking for trouble (if they have one, well they are Italian I'm sure they do)
Looks like Carlos Puyol has walked into the wrong stadium, the yawn after watching only 5mins of Serie A football even surprised him.
I wonder how low you'd have to go in the English football tiers before you found a game attended by 1 away fan or less?
Even at kids level you'd get a few parents turning up you'd think Braga brought 13 fans to Birmingham last year didn't they?
Some of the teams that have visited Sutton haven't brought any fans with them,Sutton on the other hand are one of the best supported away teams in thier division
