It's clear why you lost the title. You couldn't score when you needed to at times, and you had an inconsistent strike force. Demba Ba is a good finisher and a good target man but spoils many of your moves with the lack of technical ability he has compared to the players around him. Torres played in games because he has the technical ability to play a part in moves but he can't score for ****. Eto is old and getting on finished now. He didn't score 9 goals in 21 games which ins't bad, but not good enough for a lone striker in a title pushing side. You need someone that can play a part in your moves, create things and score 20+ goals a season. Rooney and RVP are both technical players that can pass and move and also score. I think RVP especially would jump at the chance but I think Rooney would definitely consider it. He is pushed back at Manure who play him as a CM too often and then criticise him for not scoring 20 goals a season. Rooney would love to play as a ST again, and he likes to create and work hard.
Wouldn't want either. Well, i mean i'd prefer both to what we currently have but there are better options out there in the summer. RVP is the wrong side of 30 now and seems to pick a few too many injuries now and Rooney is on an unbelievable wage and we'd could get somebody to do the same job for half that! If we could take anybody at all from the Premiership i think Negredo would suit us absolutely perfectly and i'm gutted we didn't sign him last summer. Missed our chance now.
Rooney is under rated and would probably drop wages to go to a title pushing side that lets him play in the ST position. Rooney can create and score goals and is proven in the PL. His work rate is excellent, and I think he'd love to play under JM.
Rooney has about 1 more season before his smoking, age and repeated injuries cause his performances to nosedive It would be an even worse buy than Torres
Agree wholeheartedly. Rooneys time is past, though he could still put in one great season. Has never shown the dedication his talent deserves and is an underachiever in my book. Van Persie is just at the tail end and injury prone. We can do better.
Rooney under rated? A player who is unplayable for 8 weeks a season if lucky, over weight, over sexed fat smoking beer swilling granny shagger on £300,000 a week. Change your dealer son you're ****ing delusional.
No to either now. Rooney has made his bed and the mattress is stuffed with cash. He would have had his chance to come to us this summer but chose to stay at United cos they are paying him ridiculous wages. Rooney would be class for us IMO but far too expensive to get now (fee and wages). RVP as I predicted 6 months ago is already on the way down. No player can play at the top level into their 30's on a consistent basis with the injuries record he has. Still a quality player but he'll again costs too much in fee and wages for what will probably be 2 years tops left in him at the very top. Injury prone and getting on is not what we need. If we were to buy from Manchester I'd be more inclined with one of Citys. Dzeko is a fine player that doesn't get the credit he deserved due to Aguero and Negredo's performances for instance.
