Liverpool fan in peace Great effort from your lads today - showed so much heart. To be fair you were unlucky not to get a point. If you play like that in your remaining games you'll be fine. Good luck and I really hope you stay up, even more so after todays game. All the best
Thanks, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't expecting the worst when that 1st goal went in. The major problem is confidence the effort is there sometimes but today we played the top team in the league with confidence, also more importantly we scored the only player in our team who has consistently scored to a certain degree is Snodgrass our forwards have had atrocious goal droughts so it was great to see Hooper get goal. I'm just hoping that boosts us up for the remaining games.
Before the game I thought we were in for a beating and after the first 11 minutes I thought 'here we go again'. Never thought I'd come out feeling disappointed not to get a point from that game, but I am. Hopefully that will give the players believe that we can beat a top side.
Everything Skylarker says is correct. Would you rather he came on here and told us we were crap? Or should we not communicate with rival fans at all? Cheers Skylarker, hope Liverpool win it - would love to see Gerrard lift the Premier League trophy.
Maybe it was the realization of impending doom that pushed me to such a rash decision ? ,and i`m sure the OP`s sentiments were genuine that the performance today can give us a sense of pride, but i am far from proud of my Norwich city and the manner in which we have just ambled towards the slaughter house without putting up any resistance. I would hereby like to retract the link to a word in the Collins Dictionary that i shared, make the appropriate apologies to all concerned including the OP & the moderation team. PS Am i allowed to say I hope Chelsea win the title ? If not apologies for this to follow.
I promise you I was not being patronising - I meant every word. But if you think I've come on here to patronise then that's fine by me. I was actually coming on here to give you praise and wish you all the best.
My sincerest apologies Skylarker but my pride has very much been hit by the depressing performances in all of our games this season with a handful of exceptions. I go to watch my kids at sports day and it`s polite to clap the fat kid who comes last at everything, that fat kid is Norwich City Football club to those looking in from the outside.
I think it's a real shame for a fan to post something and then get jumped on like this, really really sad to see this. I read it & took at face value Really saddened to see this, can everyone please just chill out a bit Otoh nice to see others standing up for the op, thank you
I agree with the OP and I did indeed feel VERY PROUD of Neeyull, the players and the fans today - the first time I've felt that in many months after leaving Carrow Road (I was on holiday for the Spurs game!!) . Even the N&P were fans were cheering and willing our players to try and snatch a draw or even better a win!!! C'mon you Yellows!!
