Well today's rant is road tax! Why the hell should my road tax be £220 when people driving mickey mouse cars can get theirs for free? (Or greatly reduced compared to mine.) Do their cars wheels not touch the road? Do their cars not need to get from A to B on roads maintained by my money? Are their cars only driving on the pavement? Now who do these people turn to when they actually need to carry something in their Matchbox sized cars? People like me who drive proper cars that are actually useful for transporting people and goods in comfort.
The truely unbelievable one is the VATyou pay on fuel then the Duty and then VAT on the ****ing duty. Its a tax on a ****ing tax like. My yearly car tax is £130 so im not that miffed
Oh well, here goes. Partner disabled on higher rate so blue badge, she does not drive so the car stays with me. Presnt car Citreone C5 but just picked new C4 to replace, get it 21st May. Road tax.......................0 Insurance.....................0 Service........................0 Tyres...........................0 Repairs.........................0 Running costs are a bugger, I have to pay for fuel
At least you're paying your share Jacky. I would still be miffed paying £130 when others are getting it free or paying coppers and using OUR roads. The politicians love the likes of me. I drink! Loads of money to their coffers! I smoke! Loads of money to their coffers! I drive! Loads of money to their coffers!
Well I hope you're only using it for your partners benefit! And no I'm not joking, there are too many ****ers abusing the system. I have a house bound mate, whose knees are so far gone he can't walk more than a couple of paces. And he was knocked back.
Was talking about this with a mate today. I am sure it is illegal?? imagine if it was and everyone sued the government to get their money back, the country would go bust over night. As for road tax, well its all a con just like council tax, don't even get me started on that!!!!!!!!
Good rant MR The problem is nothing to do with how much you use the road etc, it's all about the great global warming con that has taken over our lives. This is being used to bleed billions and billions from the taxpayer worldwide. If you're even slightly sceptical, read "Watermelons" by James Delingpole. Actually, if you believe it, read it anyway to see what a shambles the whole so-called science is....but that's another rant!
