Have you read the article? It's poorly written and poorly researched. The facts about the clubs history are lifted from the first section of the wikipedia page (and slightly misinterpreted). He also says "A huge controversies regarding the name of this club started from their beginning and are still present." I say it was rather more recent than 1904...
My eldest son, who lives in Hull, sent it to me and those wages are apparently correct. What was enlightening (and unbelievable) was Ramirez' wages but, as he was on loan, I would imagine we paid a percentage rather than that amount although good old my mate 'Madge' may be able to enlighten us. Who the hell would offer Huddlestone more than 50,000 quid although, like the rest of the team, he would perhaps have a 'relegation' clause in the contract reducing those wages somewhat. Nevertheless, with a reduction of 25% - 30% he would still be on 35 - 37,500 quid per week which I honestly cannot see anyone else matching. Michael Dawson, as Captain, (and MOM for the year) is on comparatively very low wages compared to others. Chester, valued at 1,750,000 quid is a joke! Most enlightening.
How do you know the wages are corrrect? I believe it to be guess work. Poor guess work. It appears to have been written by a semi-literate who has very limited knowledge of both football & our club. On the plus side the total sum of that fantasy wage bill is less than £40m which against the suggested PL income for last year of £66m looks quite healthy.
I'm pretty sure many of them are bollocks, there's no way Dawson is on less than Robertson, I suspect they're little more than educated guesses. Reports in Italy and on the south coast suggest Ramirez in on £70k at Southampton and I believe we were paying not far off £50k of it.
I can say with absolute certainty that it's bullshit. A series of things bruce said over a couple of interviews revealed N'Doyes wage and it wasn't that. It's also just obviously an absolute pile of ****. Harry Maguire's missing from it anarl.
Nice use of Excel there. Must be genuine. Bet it even uses macros. And VB. How the **** can you cynics doubt it?
All of the yearly salaries are simply a multiple of the players value... i.e. Salary/Value Hernandez 1/4 Elmohamady 1/2 Bruce 1/1 Mcgregor 1/2 It's not even very good guess work is it.
Pretty obviously rubbish when as stockholm tiger says! Take mcshane and rosenior as example, apparently worth exactly the same amount and therefore earn exactly the same weekly wage. As anybody with half a brain cell knows, the players wage has nothing to do with a players value as robertson would clearly demand a higher transfer fee then dawson but dawson would demand a higher wage. Utter rubbish
