<peacedove>Sometime you buy a player for a particular position in the team and the player ending up fitting into another position.Sebastian Coates goal yesterday worth mentioning. Our strikers are not scoring goals, can Kenny Daglish try him in another position apart from back four.?<ok>

Probably the highlight of the game for me. Managed to score from a corner and it was a great finish.

Out of curiousity, how many of our goals conceded are from crosses/corners/free kicks? I swear our heading is terrible ...

That's the thing, we rarely score from corners (even though we average 15-20 a game) and we always concede from any kind of cross!
Most of the time when we concede a corner I just think 'I bet this goes in', and usually it bloody does.

I'm just trying to think when we've let crosses/corners in this season:

Man Utd home and away (Hernandez at ours, Rooney's volley away)
    Blackburn home
    Norwich home
    Man City home and away
    Bolton away
    Sunderland home (Larsson's volley)
    QPR away
Chelsea away (Malouda's shot/cross that Sturridge tapped in)
    Arsenal home

That's just off the top of my head, so I'm sure there's far more.

Attacking corners has been unbelievably poor this season. In the rare event that our corners beat the first man, Gerrard and Skrtel are the only ones who can header with pace and accuracy.

Kuyt has to be the worst header of the ball I have ever seen unless he is 1-2 yards out.

But we seem to switch off at set pieces - how I long for Sami Hyypia!

And yesterday we had something like 12 corners in the first 15 minutes...surely we should work on our corners.

  9. Surprisingly, Stoke have conceded the most headed goals this season <ok>

  10. ...and Gerrard takes a lot of them! I'd actually prefer Gerrard on the edge of the box look for any knockdowns.

    <ok>
