When questioned after last night's match on the situation regarding both himself and GH, his answer to the gathered media newshounds was, "Tonight is all about Adam Drury, so don't keep asking negative questions!!! You'll get the information on the future both GH and myself when the time is right!!" I have seen a rumour that GH has been offered a new 3 year contract on £20K a week, so we'll just have to await developments on that front. If that's the case, he will still be the lowest paid forward in the PL!! I personally feel there's more behind his transfer request, but have a feeling that we may never knkow the real reason.
You missed something there Supers, I thought he was going to explode ! Must be on youtube somewhere, unfortunately it's blocked on my works PC someone will post link soon no doubt
Sky sports has a brief video of Lambert about to blow, and rightly so. He also said later that he's delighted to be at Norwich and that he and IC have identified the players they want to bring in. Look at the actions, not the speculation.
anyone know who the interviewer was? was it someone from setanta as i know they covered the match? i bet they weren't expecting that reaction if so! thing is, its obvious he doesn't want to be asked about it - and to do so on adam drury's special night is downright rude
I bet it's literally the only thing he gets asked at the moment. He seems to have had enough plus he's not too keen on the press anyway.
Also despite being in an angry tone, that's pretty much all the fans wanted, lambert saying to the media I'm happy here and have no interest in moving. He does have a tendency to let rumours build pace. The complete opposite is Rogers who seems to rule himself out of jobs before they even become availible
Has anyone seen the Setanta interview of Drury and Hucks? They pulled Hucks out of the shower to do it, so he's just stood topless on the side of the pitch shivering away!
i find rodgers attitude slightly arrogant to be honest. i remember him ruling himself out of the vacant chelsea job before anyone had even asked him a question about it! i feel there is a middle ground somewhere but i totally understand lambert's reasons for staying schtum - you never know what will happen in football.
lets get this clear though - he hasn't definitively ruled himself out of the running. he's just said he's happy at norwich and that that is where his focus lies. i'm perfectly happy with that - its the best we'll EVER get by way of a 'definitive' answer
But he does put the "falling out with the board" rumour to bed. He seems to be getting stuck into planning next season which is what we want. I think Gus Poyet will end up as villa manager. Good manager and it's enough of a step up to interest him.
