    Alan "The Spin Doctor" Pardew has this afternoon outlined the reason for the delay in completing the Demba Ba deal.

    "There is an issue about his medical" he helpfully explained.

    Well, hit me backwards with a wet halibut! I never saw that one coming!

    Don't you think it might have been just a wee bit sensible for the idiots running NUFC to have had this aspect of the matter clarified before telling Leon Best that he has no future with the club?
