its always ****ing hatch, either that or the countless other flaws in autocad.

 

why do architects use 3-D lines on 2-D drawins? really ****in annoys me. also ma extend tool has stopped workin the way it used to.

its always surveyors that use 3d lines i find. i always use 2d. dont use autocad for 3d because its **** at it.

is it trimming to imaginary extensions of lines as well as the line? mine does that sometimes.

why is it that autocad sometimes decides to change your settings all by its self sometimes in the middle of a drawing? does my tits in.

 

aye, a used to be able to extend to the nearest line now it extends to mid air???

 

type the following commands:

"tr"

"e"

"n"

should fix it for you

 

after 'e' it sez select objects or <select all>

n isnt an option

 

i forgot to say right click after "tr"

 

aye a pressed enter after avery command. are ye sure its 'n' at the end?

 

im using autocad 2004 so it might have changed if your using something more recent.

 

aye am 2007, we're movin onto 2010 you mite to need upgrade soon aswell, 2010 is ****e

 

i have 2009 at home and its a ****. the boss wont update any time soon he retires in 22 days so he's spending **** all. maybe ne new guys will upgrade.

 

am quite happy with 2007 man. cant be arsed changin. at least it will give me a day to have an excuse for doin hee haw for a change. 'i was sleeping' and 'i was on the internet' dont work

 

i was doing a ****. has worked for me in the past.

dont really see the need to change from 2004 it does everything we need it to.

 

Dougie, going by your most recent jobby, you could **** off for a fortnight and use that excuse. Just show your gaffer the picture, he'll believe you
