I presume you have all had a go at Premier or Champions League Manager, well how about this one to think over. You are deputy manager at high flying Swansea City. The manager has gone on a short notice trip to Hoffenheim to secure a midfielder for the next few seasons. There are two games to the end of the season, you are safe from relagation - so no worries, you will not get sacked!!!! You have Manchester United away this Saturday, home to Liverpool the following Saturday. Now then, do you play the 'normal' team against United, or do you make changes? Does it make any difference if: a) Its MU's last home game of the season and they need to improve their goal difference by at least 5 or 6. b) They have won the league already, would you take a chance on them playing a weakened team? Remember, it's the 'Theatre of Dreams'. Every player would love to play there. Do you select your team with your heart or your head? Lastly, remember that points make loads of money at the end of the season! These last two games could get you into the top ten, and with the extra money you could buy the 'Siggy' machine - whatever the cost! This is fun only, no cursing, no foulmouthing the ref, and leave the MODs alone. Lets see what you think ..............
I think we have a duty to play strongest possible team against Man Utd as it will affect who wins the title. Against Liverpool I would play Mark Gower because he deserves it and Darnel Situ because I like the look of him in the reserves. We could probably afford to sacrifice a point in the interests of development.
Agree with aswan. It will affect who wins the title and our boys deserve the chance to play at the theatre of dreams.
Play our strongest available ,if Tate's fit then he's normally a sub so a run out for him is a possibility at Utd away.other than that there still is a lot riding on our final games, finishing as high as possible means more funds, imagine beating Liverpool on the last day , those memories will last a long time in both the fans and players minds
Play our usual team and way, points mean pounds now ! I`m more concerned that we dont pick up any serious injuries now were safe though !
Strongest side every time; A) for the money B) for the integrity of the League, and C) for the momentum to take into next season. Imagine what the confidence a decent result of any sort would do for the team. I'm thinking about the dreaded second season and any psychological boost we can get will help us enormously. I know it's a long shot but if we actually won, I'm sure the lads would bound into next season knowing that they can beat the best. It would be HUGE. Of course, United should win the game but even a good performance will help our morale and belief no end to take into next season.
"Play the same team as if it's the start of the season. End of" Knackered Jack. Is that because Dobbie was in the side at the start of the season ??....
Ivor- United have struggled against well set out posession teams all season(thinking more in europe) so i actually quite fancy us going up there, i think we can frustrate them long enough to get them a bit worried then its game on. It could be worth a sneaky tenner on a swans win/draw <ok?
Like the sound of that Norway. I fancy us getting something up there. Might get a couple of quid on a win for us!! Ever the optimist me!!
Stick it up the manure we have a duty to every other team in the league to pick what we feel is the best team to get a result whoever we are playing and especially as it is the mancs, hey we can follow all the man u coaches who travel up from.around here
Never- you could be a well off optimist if you gamble your house !! United havent impressed me all season, take rooney out of the team and it is alot less indimidating IMO. I may be getting a bit over confident but having seen them play yesterday i think we could go there and frustrate the Hell out of them, we then have our wingers to get right into Rafael and Evra, Ferdinand is not the player he once was so it could be very intresting, depends on a good start for us, an early goal would be just the tonic!
I maybe remembering through rose tinted spectacles but we had man u sh****** themeselves down here and they were lucky to rob it 1-0, they shut up shop very early for one of the best teams in the world against little old swansea didnt they ?
Never- you could be a well off optimist if you gamble your house !! The wife won't be happy. Now a pessimist Still might chuck a tenner on it, have more chance of winning this bet, than the lottery.
If I was Rogers then I would say to Sinclair and Dyer to attack at pace and take Ferdinand on. As said he's not the same player as years gone by.
