I said back in Jan if we didn't sign a few proven quality prem players, Top priority a striker, we would struggle and the season would fizzle out. We should have paid top wack for Zog rather that unproven cheaper version of sess - his goal scoring record is hurrendous and is very lazy. Also was ESSENTIAL we got a striker in after Judus left-- everyone laughed as said we will be fine when we get welbeck back. Also said we would have slipped out bottom 10 by end of march- we are now 11th and in freefall Well guys we have welbeck back- nothing on the bench in terms of strikers.... not being funny but colback shouldn't be anywhere near the 1st team yet. We are in freefall and will not beat anyone playing like that- everyone saying we have easier run in now.... doesn't work like that we haven't won for 7 games, and have 1 point out the last 21 availabe. (won 1 since Judas has gone 9 games ago) It is not good enough and we will be LUCKY to finish in top ten. Once again bad boardroom decisions along with a manager that is starting to be found out will cost us dear, remember 9 games ago we were sitting in 6th 5 points clear....didn't want to spend the money to secure that european place. Rant over
To be fair mate, no of us were laughing at your comments back in January, because we all knew the seriousness of the situation post Bent. As I remember, the debate centred around whether we should sign an immediate replacement for Bent at an inflated price (as is the norm during the January window) or wait until the summer to sign a top quality replacement. Fuller was heavilly linked with the club too, which split opinion amongst us fans of which I for one was against the signing. Sess is still adjusting to the EPL, so I don't expect to see the best of him until next season. You also need to remember who we have played in the last 7 matches. A pole was posted and IIRC many of us were only predicting 5 or less points from these matches, we have ended up with 1 point, which I agree is disappointing. Turning on the board and the manager is not going to help matters. I believe that the rot stops today and we will recover lost ground in our last 7 matches. KTF my friend!
No one likes a ****ing smart arse. But fair play to you, maybe you saw the writing on the wall before others.
We're in deep ****. I was one against signing a replacement in Bent in a hurry in January, but with the plummet down the league, the standard of player we can expect to attract also plummets. People mentioned Hulk, Gignac, even ****ing Benzema when we were sitting 5th. Well, unless we put a run together and get back into the notable places, we are talking more Kevin Doyle level, and once you stop going forward, you go backwards. Massive few weeks, not for the season, but for the whole future of the club. I'm not saying 'Bruce out', i'm not a knee jerker, and i'm a Bruce fan, but if we finished bottom half, with the playing staff we have, i'd have to blame the manager. We never change it, he doesn't know how, and it's beginning to be a major concern. I backed him through the 14 games last season, ipraised him to high heaven this season, he's bought quslity, yet he can't get it to play. 7 without a win, who's motivating the players? No ****er.
It was a brave Sky reporter who post-match asked Agent Bruce about the decision to sell Bent ... You know, Bent, who is still scoring.
