Sad to see Gerry Marsden has died at 78! Always associated in football terms by music, and that famous song. People are dying all around me at the mo! :emoticon-0103-cool:

"That" song was one if the first 2 singles I bought to go with the Dansette record player my parents bought for Christmas.

    RIP Gerry.

Just watched it on the news. I'd forgotten just how many hits he had.

Is my mind playing tricks? Did we used to sing 'You'll never walk alone' on the Grange back in the early 70's?

    Every club sang it BT.

Well, perhaps not the Mancs or Everton.

Growing up in the sixties I loved the Mersey sound. If I recall correctly Gerry had a No1 before The Beatles. RIP. Your anthem will live on the terraces forever.
